Dr Sagie Naidu

Dr Sagie Naidu was born in Durban and graduated from the University of Natal in 1986. He graduated as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 1992 from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. He received a senior research fellowship from the Medical Research Council Pregnancy Hypertension Unit in 1993.
He subsequently underwent specialized training in reproductive medicine in Singapore and Copenhagen in Denmark. He is a certified subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Infertility with Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
He entered private practice as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 1994. He is the clinical director of Durban Fertility Clinic that was established in 2003.He is a council member of South African Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Gynaecological Endoscopy (SASREG).He is also a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
He takes a keen interest in the activities of his fraternity. He served as a council member of the South African Society of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (SASOG) and was the past Honorary Secretary of SASOG. He previously served on the council of the KZN Specialist Network and was an honorary lecturer in the Dept of Gynaecology at UKZN, Nelson Mandela School of Medicine. He also serves on the advisory board of a few pharmaceutical companies.
In 2020, he was awarded a Meritorious Service award from SASOG.
